silver cracks in the clouds

Tonight was glitter and brightness and a sky of molten silver. Dance in circles until time runs zig-zag and you are no longer here, but later. We pushed our voices out into the cold and the dark, but the sounds cracked open and whispers were born in the night. The angel watching in the stairwell sat above the night and looked at us with a sad smile on his beautiful face, while the ghosts took you by the soul and led you to where you won't be able to find your way back.

We chased the ghosts born from our broken laughter in the dark and came to the end of something. Can't go further, can't go further. When the sky is deep will you dive in? Stars brush past, burn your skin. At least the warmth is feeling. Don't let her catch you, she won't let go.
